Ade Advanced Optics RD3-006B-2 Green Dot Sight for Handguns - Compatible with Doctor/Venom/Fastfire Red Dot Sights.

The ADE RD3-006, along with RD3-009, RD3-012, and RD3-013, do not fit the Springfield HELLCAT OSP because the Springfield Hellcat OSP's red dot footprint is based on the Shield RMS. The ADE sights have a footprint similar to the Doctor/Vortex Venom type footprint. However, the RD3-006, RD3-009, RD3-012, and RD3-013 are compatible with "Optics Ready" pistols such as the Glock MOS, Springfield OSP (non-Hellcat), Canik TP9 SFX (non-Elite SC), Walther PPQ Q5 Match, FNX 45 Tactical, and IWI Masada handguns. These pistols come with mounting plates that are marked for the DOCTOR/VORTEX VENOM type red dot.

To use the red dot sight, the user must have an "Optics Ready" model of the aforementioned pistols, which come with a mounting plate marked for the DOCTOR/VORTEX type. If the pistol does not have this, the user will need to purchase an aftermarket mounting plate (not included with the red dot sight purchase) to replace the rear sight.

When you first receive the red dot sight, it will have a pre-assembled Picatinny mounting plate. To attach the red dot to a variety of handgun mounting plates (sold separately), use the provided Allen wrench to remove the two hex screws on the top, behind the glass frame, to disconnect the red dot from the Picatinny mounting plate.

There are many popular handguns on the market, and due to the size differences, each mounting plate may have slightly different dimensions. Various manufacturers, including ADE, Lakeline LLC, EGW, and Outerimpact, offer a variety of handgun plates that replace the rear sight.

The screws that come with the red dot sight are M3x6mm to connect to the pre-assembled Picatinny mounting base. However, some mounting plates made by other companies for specific handguns may require a longer screw, such as M3x8mm, or a shorter screw, such as M3x4mm, depending on the thickness of the mounting plate/adapter. If the provided screws do not work properly, it is recommended to visit a local hardware store to find the right size.

Since its initial release in 2016, several improvements have been made to the red dot sight, including increased durability to withstand recoil and improved ability to hold zero. The newly updated front switch was designed in Oregon. The lenses are precision ground and polished to virtually eliminate parallax and provide a clear, crisp sight picture.

This green-dot version comes with a Picatinny mounting base and is also compatible with various handgun mounting plates that replace the rear sight dovetail. It is suitable for Optics Ready pistols such as the Glock MOS and Springfield OSP. The red dot has a 4 MOA size, is fully windage and elevation adjustable and lockable, and offers unlimited eye relief and multiple illumination settings. The sight is powered by a lithium CR2032 battery, which is included.

The ADE models RD3-006, RD3-009, RD3-012, RD3-013, and RD3-015 are designed to fit the slide/footprint of plates made for the Vortex Venom, Burris Fastfire, Meopta, Docter, Insight, and Eotech MRDS. Any plate made for these brands will also fit this sight.
